Intended For Windows 98 only

• This is a known bug. You'll have to open Internet Explorer (not Netscape) manually, and go to http://www.windowsupdate.com

If you're using Windows 98 Second Edition, and get a message that says "Thank you for your interest in Windows Update" instead of the Windows Update page when you use the Windows Update link in the Start Menu:

• This is due to a problem with the stupid Internet Connection Wizard.
• To work around this (temporarily), you'll have to open Internet Explorer (not Netscape) manually, and go to http://www.windowsupdate.com
• To fix this permanently, follow the steps to Disable the Internet Connection Wizard.
