I have a PC running Win98se and another with Win00. I can access the 98, browse, copy etc. from the 00 PC. I can see the 00 PC's icon in NT neighborhood on the 98 PC but when I double click it I am prompted for a password (Resource: \\compture name\IPC$) even though "everybody" has access and all drives are shared for admin purposes. The 00 PC is NTFS. I have tried creating passwords or disabling them without success. Is it the NTFS or am I missing a password somewhere? I know having NTFS prevents me from accessing files from different partition on the same machine but I am not familiar enough with NTFS to know if that prevents me from accessing NTFS files from a non-NTFS partition on another machine on the network.
