well i am not sure what caused it, but i just reformatted my OS drive and reinstalled
all of my programs. I think that Visual Studio 6.0 messed it up. Do you run visual
studio? But when i reinstalled with visual studio i did not notice any difference
so i am thinking that it might have been in the Win 2000 service pack. I have 35
GB of MP3's and about 6-7 GB of Movies. The hard drives i have are 20,20 & 40 GB,
with a SCSI re-writer and IDE CD-Rom. i just wanted to protect my music & stuff.
After i got it working like i wanted it, i made a "Ghost" image of it onto another
drive so i can just restore in about 10 mins now.
Thats all i could recommend if you have the drive space is to get it like you want
it and make a ghost drive image to restore from quickly.
