Under Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services BOTH RPC (Remote Procedure
Call) should be set to auto and enabled. Apparently, one has to do with speeding
file access in Explorer (or other third party replacements). All I can say is that
I used to suffer from 1 - 2 minute delay when I accessed Explorer, ran teh second
RPC and no more delay.
