You have to set the name manually in the registry.
The only other way I was able to set this was if
the machine was a member of a domain (NT4 or Active Directory).
Make a new REG_SZ value with the name "srvcomment" in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters
The data in this key will be show up in the comment field. I had to reboot the machine
for the comment to appear.
