The same happened to me. I repartitioned a Windows 2000 machine and replaced 4 G
ntfs with ext2. After that
the Windows 2000 boot time increased from about 1:30 min to more than 6 min. Undoing
this by replacing the ext2
with ntfs again results in 1:30 as before. I searched in the web if someone else
knows how
to turn off this fs checking, but haven't been sucessfull up to now.
