Does anyone know how to force windows explorer to always appear in "Details" view,

Hello!
Easy, in Windows explorer setup a folder the way you like it "details".
Then select Tools / Folder Options / View and at the top left hand radio
button select " Like Current Folder".
Note all you desktop folders if any will now be in details. I have switched
some Desktop folders to large Icons and Windows does remember.
Mine does not. What's wrong with it?
Regards
