I am having a similar problem with computers here for none adminstrator accounts.
All but two of them do this. They have all been setup the same and I am trying to
find out why those two work.
A temporary solution I have found is to ignore the save as type box. Even though
it says bmp just add the .jpg or .gif extension to the end of the file name and it
save the file in that format.
If you wish to use the picture in a web page I found that unless you open the file
and do a save as the picture will not be viewable.
