Worse, how do I recover it once Norton has "quarantined" it. The randomly generated name it came under modified my system in a manner that it runs instead of "win.exe". This means that no .exe files will run without the virus in place. Unfortunately, Norton is one example of a .exe file, so I can't bring it up and run it to unquarantine the virus. Re-installation of Windows would seem to be the appropriate cure, however my copy came pre-installed from the computer manufacturer...without discs.
