re: Question about 'Clear Unwanted Entries from Add/Remove Programs' Tuesday, January 8, 2002 at 11:35 pm Windows 2000 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Andre (14 messages posted) To clean up the starup group items you need to do the following: rigth click on start select open double click on programs double click on startup => remove all unwanted entries then rigth click on start select open all users double click on programs double click on startup => remove all unwanted entries then go to start /run and type regedit=> OK backup HKLM(hkey_Local_Machine) HKCU(Hkey_Current_User) then remove 3rd parties entries from: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run do the same for runonce and runoncex Note: the only entries in HKLM run should be syncronization manager and default. HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run do the same for runonce and runoncex if present. Note: the only entry in HKCU run should be default.
