I recently did a clean install of Win2k SP2 and IE6 with all the requisite basic security patches. One remnant that I have not been able to turn off, as in the past, is when I type something in the IE6 Address bar or Open dialog is the "Search for..." etc. etc. junk. I have unchecked Enable Inline AutoComplete, and I cannot get the 'Search from Address bar/When searching...' to be completely unchecked, nor can I figure out how to NOT have this annoyance occur every time I type in the Address bar... Any suggestions?? I have also turned on 'Disable forms persistence' in Security and said NO to auto-complete forms and passwords... Previous installations of IE6 have not bothered me thusly... Thank you! :) tom
