Problems joining the domain Thursday, February 14, 2002 at 1:50 pm Windows 2000 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Bloug (3 messages posted) I have one server set up as a domain controller running 2000 Server. I am having some really annoying problems with the 2000 Professional computers that I join to the domain. When they start up, the "applying computer settings..." screen takes about 5 minutes longer than usual, and when I logon to a domain profile, it takes about 10 minutes of loading (which is more like sitting there than loading, hardly any network traffic takes place) to actually get to my desktop. These problems don't occur if I join into the workgroup, but I really need to join them to the domain. Any ideas?
