Well, first thing I would say is software, but you have eliminated that, unless sometimes
the newest drivers aren't always best...
Anyhow, do you have the latest direct X? Also maybe you have an irq conflict between
one of your cards and your ethernet adapter. You might not see the conflict listed
in windows... but maybe something is not happy... try physically moving the PCI card
or something, however that would only make sense if you have recently added a new
interface card - or you have always had this problem since you got cable. It could
be bad memory too... if you keep getting explorer errors... or maybe you have 2 different
types of memory installed, win2k tends to be picky with RAM...
