I too had a similar experience, when I took the bait from MS and "upgraded" to IE6 from IE5.5. My Win2KPro went south, but my netweorked (Linksys router) WinMe is still working after about a week. I had to reinstall Win2K and then upgraded the IE5.0 to 5.5 to get my browser back. Darn inconvenient. It also looks like it took my *.msi Windows Installer away from my Win2K as well, but that's another story.
