This wont work on win 2000, but this will: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Sound] "Beep"="no" "ExtendedSounds"="no" The values default to yes, and there is no way to change them to no from the gui. NOTE relogon required to take effect.
