Question about 'Why can't I get the Direct-Cable Connection to work?' Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at 2:19 pm Windows 2000 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Ken Peterson (2 messages posted) I have a question about connecting between a computer on WIN95 (The guest) and one on WIN2000 (The host) using a Windows Direct Cable Connection using a Belkin Autoswitch. The LPT connection is made satisfactorily and then I get the message on the guest computer that it "Can't find the host computer". From all I can tell I have setup the software on both computers correctly. I was asked the name of the host computer and entered the name listed for it under "devices" in the "My Computer" menu.
