This excellent solution corrected an identical problem on my W2K peer to peer network using Windows ICS through a 56K dial up hardware modem, and no specific PPPo software that I am aware of other than native W2K SP2. The successful MTU value was considerably lower however (548) than the values suggested. In my case the problem appeared as 'bolt from the blue' as all sites had previously been accessable on both machines. Thanks to the author for a well written and extremely successful solution !
