We run NT at work and I believe this is exactly how our IS guy fixed the problem on our production floor. 27+ technicians running processes that use the system default beep gets annoying after awhile! Andreas is right, there's no way to shut it off via the gui. We've all tried it first before running screaming into the IS office ;-)
