Question about 'Change a file association on the fly'

i have inadvertantly opened a file type <*.table> with Wordpad and did not uncheck the "always use this program to open files of this type" box. Now all my files o fhtis type have the Wordpad icon associated with it. I want to UNDO this. I want to change it back to "Unknown',,,,,,,,,,,,,how????
