I quickly noticed upon installing Win2kPro that the old "rename the Recycle Bin"
trick didn't work. Here's how I found to do in Win2kPro:
#1 BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY!
#2 Rename the key "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}"
to "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}"
#2.5 You may or may not have to change the value of "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\ShellFolder\Attributes"
from "40 01 00 20" to "30 01 00 20". (This is the method I used in 98SE to add the
Rename command to the Recycle Bin context menu.)
#3 As, the context menu (Right-click menu) for the Recycle Bin should now contain
the Rename command, all you need do is right-click the Recycle Bin and select Rename
(go figure).
#4 Return all keys and values to their former states and reboot. You're good to
go. (The rebooting shouldn't be necessary, but I had trouble getting the Delete
and Rename commands to disappear from the Recycle Bin context menu without a reboot.)
Good luck; remember to back up first.
