LSASS.EXE error at startup, before logon screen. Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at 8:54 am Windows 2000 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Brian (4 messages posted) I work for a company with about 1500 users and several offices around the country. After recently upgrading to Windows 2000, I have about 8 machines that have experienced the following problem over the last 4 months. Computer upon startup receives a LSASS.EXE error just before it gets to the logon screen. When u hit "OK" to the error, it automatically reboots. There is a reference to the SID in the error as well.
