Make sure that you have your motherboard chipset
disk/CD. Then run it. If you have a built-in sound
card or something that plugs in the USB slot, then
you would need the driver that comes with the
motherboard or other device. It wouldn't hurt to
go to System in the Control Panel and take a look
at the devices. You can look and see if there are
any entries flagged as having problems. Multiple
installations, IRQ conflicts, and missing drivers can
cause problems here. Another place to check would
be "Install New Hardware." You can run that and
see if Windows finds anything else.
