The problem is a failed unisntall or install. Reboot in safemode with Command prompt change directory to the TEMP directory (c:\winnt\temp) Look for files named MSIxxxxxxx.LOG Type or EDIT one of the files. It should say the name of the software that wasn't properly installed or uninstalled. Reboot computer with CD of software in CD Drive. The Install (or uninstall) should finish properly. Mario
