hi all
i doubt that the problem you are having is manufacturer dependant, try to go to "services"
in "Administrative Tools" in control Panel, you will find a list of all the services
that your system has started, look for "et meeting desktop sharing" service, right
click and go to properties then in the startup mode drop down list select disable.
Then go to your desktop properties in the Effects tab and make sure to check the
"Show icons in all possible colors".
