Windows 2000 doesn't use autoexec.bat (its only there for compatibility reasons - it uses autoexec.nt when running dos/command prompt programs - in \winnt\system32 - same for config.sys - config.nt). Why would you want to do this - there are a number of places you can specify for programs to start up from. Have a look at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/steve-dunn/SM.zip
