Hi, I have a win2k - win2k LAN and I have some problems too. My server is connected to a satellite connection, and a second NC is connected to my client win2k machine, through a twisted pair cable. In Network settings, server is using IP 10.0.4.100, mask 255.0.0.0 and gateway empty, and my client is using 10.0.4.101, and mask 255.0.0.0 and gateway 10.0.4.100. In my client Internet Explorer, it is set to use proxy server 10.0.4.100 In my client machine, I can browse through webpages but whenever I try to ping an outside IP or URI, I receive a Timeout.. Any ideas?
