can't access email on a client computer using direcway satalite system

I cannot send or recieve email on my client computer using the direcway satalite
system. I have set up a internet sharing connection and am able to browse the internet
fine. But when I click the send recieve button in microsoft outlook it tells me
the server cannot be found. Our email account is set up with NORTEX. The email is
set up the same way on the host computer and it connects to the email fine. I read
the report "Can't access some websites while using a shared PPPoE connection:" When
I used the "Ping" method described I recieved a "bad parameter" error. any ideas
on how to resolve the problem would be greatly appreciated
