Fred Make a copy of any archives you have in the meat of the operating system and save a copy of Favorites for Internet Explorer... or just make a copy of anything you don't want to lose. Then install the operating system on top of the old one. If it asks you if you want a fresh install, I would say yes. If this doesn't work, then you will probably need to reformat and then re-install. I just can't think of anything else better to say.... David
