Hi! I have Win2000 and (still) WinMEnot on the Dim 4300, each in its own primary partition. As bootmanager BootUS – couldn’t get the thing working with Win2000‘ loader. Now the problem: When the machine resumes from standby/hibernation the bootmanager appears again and I can select/boot another OS (or it does so by timeout of default OS) and thus have – without knowing it – two OS running concurrently! One active and the other still sleeping in the background. Of course this often leads to crashes for RAM collisions. Is this „normal“ desktop behaviour? I confirmed it with another bootmanager, SystemCommander from V-Comm which I use on the Inspiron without ever encountering this. On the notebook the bootmanager appears *only* at boot time, not again on resume. Since WinME hasn’t won me and is barely selected anymore this question is more for curiosity though it might raise again with e.g. Linux in the future. But could someone satisfy my curiosity? TIA - Jan
