Win2k boot drive image

I want to be able to use removable HD for boot and use them in several systems.
The systems (P4) are physically the same. I loaded Win2k on one machine
Then added several programs. I put together a copy machine (2 removable drive bays)
I then made a copy using Drive Image. The copy worked just fine in the original system.
I then went to use it in a second system and the boot does not finish.
It hangs up just befroe it goes to the white screen with the win2k logo.
Both the original boot disk and the copy do the same thing in the second system
Any Ideas?
