Windows Explorer will not refresh cdrom drives

When I open Windows Explorer in win2000 pro and there is a cd in either of my cdrom drives, it displays the volumes correctly. If I eject a CD and then insert another cd, Windows Explorer does not refresh and thinks there is no cd inserted. When I click on the drive icon or refresh (F5) it does not refresh, and still tells me to insert a disk. Only thing to help this is to reboot. I have Nero and Fireburner installed with Auto Insert Notification disabled, if that helps. This is very annoying and I would like to resolve this issue.
