Hot Swap Hard Drives. Monday, March 3, 2003 at 10:21 am Windows 2000 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Fliggy (90 messages posted) I have two IDE caddy's for hard drives. i use them all the time on what was my linux server and could hot swap the drives when the OS was loaded -i'd unmount the drive, swap them over and re-mount the new drive.
