Allan, Thank you for your suggestion, it worked for me, I deleted the files you said and overwrote the spoolsv.exe with a "good" version , from the computer I use at work I did not use the Cab file, and no problems. I was seeing the same thing as stated the error message would appear at boot up and also when I would try to add a printer, I did not make any changes to the registry. Regards, Craig
