it has no problems if you use the hot swap caddies -which i would highly recommend,
as they offer some protection and cooling- but it will crash if you take one out
without shuting down and powereing off the system.
the reason it (usually) works with *nix, is because windows relies on the bios info
where as most *nix kernals, when the bios tells them what hardware is present, says
something along the lines on 'thats nice' and ignoors it.
