i spent a bit of time looking for a utility or even a microsoft patch/module that would provide the functionality of XP's system tray. i found Mike Lin's Tray Saver program and some of the interesting things he's written, but i was hesitant to install that after reading the less than confidant info supplied there. what i did find is not exactly the same as XP's sysTry, but this program works really well for me on Win2000 - it's free and well-packaged (cause it used to cost money) http://www.traywizard.com/ -chris
