I have a similar problem with my Compaq Presario 1800 Laptop. I came with Windows
ME, then I installed Windows 2000 Pro (full version not an upgrade) - I had to sometimes
wait 10 to 15 mins for it to boot and it actually looked as if it had locked up,
but it hadn't.
Then, I bought the full version of Windows XP Pro (full version for $300) and installed
that only to have a similar problem while booting and I discovered that the agp440.sys
file was the last thing shown while XP was trying to load.
What is this file for?
