Got it sorted, its d3d8thk.dll, on the DirectX 9.0 redistribution, there are two
of these files. d3d8thk.dll and d3d8thk.w2k. Replace your current copy of this file
with the d3d8thk.w2k version, changing the .w2k to .dll obviously. I suspect 9.0a
has the same file format but doesn't properly choose the correct one to use, I can't
be sure though as I did the Web Install. If you don't have this file then drop me
a line and I'll email it to you.
