One such site is http://blackviper.com/.
He has OS guides for W2K, Red Hat Linux 8, WXP Pro and home, and Windows .NET Enterprise
Server. Also, he has a listing of all the services for WXP and 2K, an explanation
of what each one does, whether or not it's safe to turn off etc... This site is very
useful for tweking the last ounce of performance out of your PC.
http://blackviper.com/WIN2K/servicecfg.htm
for W2K and though i despise it,
http://blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm
for WXP
