I have figured out how to disable the agp440.sys service via the Microsoft Knowledgebase
article someone else mentioned earlier in this thread. The interesting thing is,
the instrucitons to disabling the agp440.sys service assume that, once the driver
is disabled, your system will boot to windows. WELL MINE DIDN'T!!! My system hung
at the exact same place, only the agp440.sys didn't show up on the list of loading
services in safe mode because it was disabled. If you couldn't already tell, I'm
a bit upset about it because there are no alternate troubleshooting instructions
incase this method doesn't work. It just assumes that disabling the driver will
do the trick. Anyways, that leads me to believe that the agp440.sys isn't even the
problem in the first place. But who knows...if anyone has some advice I would greatly
appreciate it. Thanks, Eric.
