It started with ntoskrnl.exe missing or corrupt...

Well... actually it first started yesterday with this error...
"Stop 0x00000077" or "KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR"
I thought I had cleared that up, and everything seemed to be running fine this morning.
Then the same Stop message appeared again.
When I rebooted the ntoskrnl.exe error appeared. I couldn't get past it so I tried
booting up off of a floppy to see if I could replace the ntoskrnl.exe file or "fix"
the boot.ini file.
I was able to boot up via floppy, but when I tried to access the C Drive, it just
froze. I rebooted and then I received a message that I would have run fdisk to create
a partition because none existed on the C Drive. I didn't do it.
Instead I tried rebooting again. This time I was able to see the C Drive, and I
was even able to open the boot.ini file in the editor. Nothing was wrong with boot.ini,
but the machine froze while I was trying to exit the file.
Has anyone run into anything like this? Is it a hardware issue? Is my hard drive
just dying on me?
Thanks for any help... :)
