PMEM service error Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at 7:57 am Windows 2000 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Benjamin (1 messages posted) hi all, whenever i boot up, at the login screen, i receive an error message from service control manager saying that a service or driver was not started, and asks me to go check event viewer...so heres the log: Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Category: None Event ID: 7000 Date: 10/14/2003 Time: 9:30:52 PM User: N/A Computer: IBM_T30 Description: The PMEM service failed to start due to the following error: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. i think i got it after installing updates from ibm's website. i don't know which one was it as i installed all at one shot..so if someone can help...it would be of great help...thanks...
