Marc ,,,,,sound like and looks like a virus,,,,start win98 and download SpyBot
from the net ,then put it on a
3 1/2 " disk or you can save it to the winnt folder on your HD, restart your machine
and go in to win2k in the safe mode ( F8 key ), install Spybot on the HD and run
it...then reboot see if it comes up right ..
If still will not boot ,,,reboot with the win2k cd and run the repair ...
