re: How to stop qttask from loading in Win2000 Monday, January 12, 2004 at 12:18 pm Windows 2000 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Bill (1 messages posted) Actually, I just ran a search for 'qttask' (in Win2000), found it in the C:\Programs\Quicktime folder and deleted it, and it still hasn't come up on reboot even after using the movie player. There did use to be an option to turn the taskbar icon on or off, but I haven't seen it in this latest version. It pisses me off when any program just inserts itself all over your computer without asking!
