What the hell is Sys Fader??!!!

Hi,
For about 6 months now I've had an annoying problem with my computer that i would
really like to solve. There are no real problems with my computer - its a stock
Dell Dimension 4500 that i installed win2000sp3 on. But every time that i shut down
my computer (or try to shut it down) it brings up a window "Ending Program - Sys
Fader" with a small time-bar making its way down and the option of hitting "End Now"
to end sysfader and shut the computer down. This is getting really annoying and
id like to know what the deal is with sys fader and how i can resolve this issue.
If you have any info that would help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
