upon downloading a "critical" update in november, my pc would give me a bluescreen with the following message whenever i plugged in anything other than my keyboard, mouse and monitor:
stop: 0x00000050(0xfffffff0, 0x00000000, 0x8044f718, 0x00000000)
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA address 8044f718 base at 80400000, datestamp 3ee6c002 - ntoskrnl.exe

beginning dump of phisical memory
physical memory dump complete

.... and then the computer won't restart. i just recently bought an iPod, which requires a USB 2.0 connection, so i installed a USB 2.0 card. now, i get the same bluescreen if i plug the iPod in. (but no problem if it's plugged in before the CPU is turned on). what in the hell is going on? this is driving me nuts.. no printer, no scanner, no iPod.
