Can't find Product Key

I had the system 32 folder on start up problem, so I virus scanned, what ever the problem was it caused my virus scan to crash, and the whole computer to crash. Here is my problem, virus scan runs when the computer is improperly shut down, thus causing virus scan to open when ever I start up. I started to reformat but I can not find the product key for my Office 2000 Professional, can anyone help? I hate using public computers, which I am at now :(
