You don't need to edit the boot.ini to change the default OS in your dual boot.
In 2000, open the System Propterties (either from control panel or right click on
My Computer and select Properties) then choose the "Advanced" tab and once there,
click on "Startup and Recovery". You can choose which OS is the default in there.
