Hello all you computer nerds!! You poor souls, we know what you're going through.
While we can't claim total origination of this solution, we can pass it on to you,
our suffering brethen. If you get the yellow monster on Multimedia Audio Controller,
and can't hear a thing from your speakers, try downloading realtek ac'97 audio driver.
The real credit goes to another source on an earlier anoyance forum that we couldn't
find a second time. The download is free, and it worked like a charm. After many
hours of frustration, the pain and suffering is over. The music never sounded so
sweet!
