Nope,,,,If he formated the drive 1st maybe...was is the format (fat32 or ntfs )
one HD with C: only ,right ?
they is one file that will give it away it's called msconfig.exe it will not come
with win2k but it comes with XP as a default item...if it's on the machine check
the date .
also the files dates, if they are 12-7-99 (system file dates) it's win2k unless
the SP4 was installed,,
But you said you can read the activation key for XP on this machine ???? or do you
mean the CD ID #
in the reg file ?
win2k will not use activation key from MS
what is the 1st 3 numbers and the last 2 numbers (letters)
