This customer of yours is looking for a free upgrade install procedure or the equivalent
somehow. Try it yourself on a trade-in PC. W2K has the same routines in it to make
it avoid a backwards install over a newer version, same as all the MS Windows products
have had, at least as far back as Win98.
If anyone NEEDS to go backwards, the newer OS has to be totally removed by reformatting
the primary DOS partition.
